Song #1 Will You Be There

I wanted to open with a Skillet song because I love Skillet. Coming up with the right song was a challenge, but this one works. I went old school Skillet and chose Will You Be There from the Alien Youth album. Some people may not like this choice to open, wanting a heavy, rocking song, but this song has had meaning to me ever since I was a preteen.

The Idea

So classes are getting into full swing now, which means I have time to actually start this. Here's the plan: I love or have influenced me in my life. I wanted to do something with these songs rather than just enjoy them myself. At first I thought about taking a song every day all year and talking about it, but I realized that I probably wouldn't remember half the time. So instead I intend to post a song each week and work through that song throughout the week. I'll post at least once each week giving the lyrics and a bit of insight into what that songs means in my life.
